Geraldine Gorman is a clinical professor at the College of Nursing, University of Illinois Chicago. She also practices as a hospice nurse with Unity Hospice. She lives on the North Side of Chicago and is the mother of three, grandmother of two.

Perspective

In nursing and in church, women's wisdom has been denigrated. But we are rising.

Perspective: Professional equity for nurses has yet to be achieved, but we are closer. But when I returned to the Catholic Church after many years, the altar remained resolutely male, unchanged in my absence.
