After a long day that began with a prayer service commemorating "prophets of a future not our own," which in this case meant various lay people whose witness had inspired members of the Ignatian Family, and ended with an emotional night time prayer service in a park adjacent to the United States Capitol, day two of the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice has come to a close.
Following the traditional and much anticipated annual t-shirt swap between student delegations from various Jesuit schools, and most groups’ departure to engage in reflection (in the finest Ignatian tradition), the first day of the Teach-In has concluded. After one day at the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, memorable and inspirational moments seem to be the hallmark of the conference.
