In this morning's Washington Post, E.J. Dionne looks at New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio's first months in office. The growth of local and state progressive governance is one of the most under-appreciated developments in contemporary politics. The key question, better to say one of the key questions: Will companies flock to well-run cities and states, even if they have higher minimum wage laws and more union-backed workplace protections, because those are the kinds of places that the best workers want to live?
