At National Journal, veteran reporter Ron Fournier dissects the Clinton's MO in the face of media scrutiny over potential scandals. In the process, he perhaps unintentionally demonstrates why they are such darned effective politicians. 

Amidst all the predictable articles about the family, Eve Tushnet has a really interesting piece up at The American Conservative, which discusses the varieties of friendship and what the concept of friendship might provide in discussing that particular friendship we call marriage. She also points beyond the nuclear family to the loss of the extended family, which absolutely should be a central concern for the Church in the U.S. 

The Cardinal Newman Society - bless their hearts - has attacked moi. I am deeply flattered.
