At Politico, Republican analysts are beginning to think Trump might win and they are bemoaning the fact that he lacks a ground game. They should be bemoaning the prospect of him winning: I can think of nothing that would so destroy what is best in the Republican party as a Trump victory. 

I said I would get nervous when the projection at FiveThirtyEight.com gives Trump a 1 in 3 chance of winning. As of last night, they give him a 32 percent chance of winning.  

Georgetown's Religious Freedom Project is planning an event to examine research by fellow Brian Grim that measures the contribution the faith community makes to our society. Yuck, yuck, a thousand times yuck. Hans Urs von Balthasar is turning over in his grave. A religion can do all manner of wonderful things, and still be false. "Either the Christian Gospel is perceived and grasped as the triumph of absolute love or it is not grasped at all" said the great Swiss theologian. He didn't mention anything about social capital. 

At New York magazine, a rundown of some of the allegations of sexual abuse against Roger Ailes. This is the guy who brought us a network that celebrates traditional and family values? If half this is true, he is not only a creep but an artless creep.
