Elmore Leonard fans asked to support Maryknoll sisters

A reader tipped me to this notice in the Detroit News: Visitation today for celebrated crime novelist Elmore Leonard.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Elmore Leonard, the crime writer who died Tuesday, in Holy Name Church in Birmingham, Mich., just north of Detroit Saturday morning.

The notice says that memorial gifts in Leonard’s name can be sent to the Maryknoll Sisters in Maryknoll, N.Y.
