Invitation to NCR readers in Belleville, Ill.

NCR senior correspondent John L. Allen. Jr. will be at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, 442 S. De Mazenrod Drive, Belleville, Ill., for two lectures Oct. 1.

Allen will speak on "Which Way Is Our Church Moving -- Forward or Backward" and "The Future Church Emerging."

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Talks are from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Shrine Visitors Center.

Register by Sept. 26.
Fee is $35 per person.
