Legionaries of Christ head meets pope

Fr. Alvaro Corcuera, general director of the Legionaries of Christ, met with Benedict XVI today behind closed doors.

The Legionaries are waiting for the appointment of a pontifical delegate to lead the order. According to a statement from the congregation, Corcuera thanked the pope for his "fatherly care" and has confirmed the "unconditional loyalty" of the Legionaries of Christ.
