Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese poet and peace teacher, has returned to his hermitage at Plum Village, France following more than four months of convalescence after a November stroke.
The 88-year-old spiritual leader was taken ill Nov. 1 and moved from his Plum Village monastery to a hospital in Bordeaux, France. The stroke occurred Nov. 11th while he was in the hospital. After weeks in the hospital he moved to a stroke rehabilitation clinic in Bordeaux where, his staff says, he has been making steady recovery gains.
